Q.: How long have you been repairing & upgrading computers, smartphones, etc..?

A.: Desktops and laptops: More than ten (10) years and about five (5) with          smartphones.

Q.: How long do repairs take?

A.: That depends on the complexity of repair (may involve data recovery, making & restoring back ups, etc..), parts availability (if parts need to be imported, there are sometimes shipping delays), adherence to payment agreements and aggressive deadlines (rushed work).

Q.: What are the services fees and costs associated with repair?

A.:  Assessment without disassembly is typically free.  Disassembly to confirm is more..
Expect that there will be labor fees that will be outlined separately from the hardware (& shipping, software) and other related costs..

Q.: What is the average warranty period given on repairs & refurbished items?

A.: Typically labor is warrantied for 3 months and 6 months on the parts used unless the hardware manufacturers specify otherwise.  Undeniable proof of tampering or installing other than recommended software immediately voids it.

Q.: How can I earn a discount?

A.:  Simplest way is to be a repeat customer closely followed by referring other customers like yourself.

Q.: Where do you source your parts and accessories?

A.: For desktops and laptops, I tend to start locally, then outward to the US and as a last resort, China.  For smartphone and tablet parts, the reverse applies starting with China then the US as a last resort.  The further away, the cheaper it tends to be but of course, repairs take longer.

Q.: What makes your service different from your competitors & service providers?

A.: You can get things done and then you can get things done well.  I prefer to test and monitor before handing over a repaired device.  Where things may differ with us is that you will likely get more done for less, customers be updated with maintenance notes that will be referenced on the invoice(s) and if you wanted to get something sold by advertising it here, you won't be charged for the listing.

Q.:
What are the costs associated with listing a device?

A.:  Typically, for a customer (that is compensating me for the repair), it's free.

Also, if there was no cash paid and I manage to bring a device back to life that was abandoned by a customer and a buyer can be found, we can come to a Win-win arrangement and split the proceeds so that you the customer gets some cash where they would otherwise leave empty handed and dissatisfied.

Q.: What forms of payment do you accept?

A.: Direct Bank Deposits/transfers, Cash, cheques (that don't bounce), reusable/saleable/salvageable component & devices coupled with new customer referrals are also happily accepted as forms of payment.
